Took 5 minutes to install battery & change combination, then another 10 minutes to set up shelving. Ordered moisture absorbers and an adjustable LED light, which was a great addition. Longest amount of time was putting everything into the safe. There were no internal glue/carpet smells to contend with. Highly recommend this safe. The keypad is NOT backlit as the Amazon description states.
