I needed a decent lockbox to keep my pistols under lock away from my kids. This safe fit the bill very well! It’s solid, fits in my dresser drawer or night stand, and the ease of access is great. Fingerprint reader, security code, and key all work perfectly. I saw reviews where some people couldn’t get the scanner. I would assume they got a defective unit, because I have absolutely zero issue with mine as the video shows. I would recommend this safe to anyone looking for a good lockbox for a good price.

Title: Handle doesn’t work

I was pretty excited for this from the pictures and other reviews, when it arrived it was packaged well, when I opened it up and got it out of the box I noticed it was missing one of the metal rods for the handle, I figured no biggie. Got it put in place and looked at the instructions to open it, key in under the lock pad, key in the middle, then twist handle. Well, the handle doesn’t catch anything at all just spins for days. Highly disappointing considering it wasn’t cheap ($399). Now I’m just trying to figure out how to get my money back.

Title: Perfect fit for closet

So I’ve had other safes and this one beats them with the added LED lights and power outlets alone. I normally have my safe in a dark closet so the LED light helps a lot. Also, the power outlet has USB ports. I plan to use the power outlet for my dehumidifier to plug inside. This safe is well-made. Strong and durable. Has an adjustable rack holder and an ammo shelf above it. I really like the added security lock box on top for your more valuable items like jewelry etc. The pin pad works well with the fingerprint scanner, quick scanning and accurate. Just need to stock it up now.

Title: Sturdy frame for the price – delicate/frangible locking mechanism

Unlocked the safe as normal with key and PIN. Turned handle, heard a crunch, and then the handle started spinning around. Haven’t heard back from the vendor yet :/
Update:
Added video of the issue.
The vendor offered to send a replacement; however – the shipment was labeled as “defective returned to sender” a few days later. Will update as I get more info.
Update 2:
The vendor has offered to send a replacement (replacement?). However, I’m stuck in what seems to be a perpetual "we are trying to get it to you" after a month of back and forth so far.
Update 3:
The vendor has fulfilled their promise of a replacement after several weeks of active follow-up. In the meantime, I have broken into the original safe with a friend and a crowbar in about 15min. The unlocking mechanism has a 1/4in diameter weld on a 1/2in piece of steel that completely sheared off when I had given the wheel a turn. Overall – this is a safe-ish device to keep the casual thief and children from access to weapons and other items. Will it keep a teen out of it: probably not but you will know if someone broke into it. I appreciate the thicker steel frame and it makes a perfectly serviceable first safe for a small closet.

Title: Good safe easy instructions

Good product with clear instructions. I want to thank the seller for being extremely precise with the item dimensions! I ordered a safe from them because it said it was 11.83 inches and I needed to fit it in a space that was exactly 12 inches. It was a perfect fit! This is the perfect desk gun safe. Removing the foam block allowed me to unclip the dq mount from my duty belt and stick my Glock 17 in while it is still in a Safariland 6390 holster. Just what I wanted!

Title: Faulty fingerprint reader

I purchased this safe to secure my handguns. After I installed it, I programmed the numeric code and the fingerprint sensor. The safe had a problem retaining the fingerprint codes but the numeric code worked without issue. While customer service could not resolve the issue, they were cooperative with any refund or exchanges that would suit me. I purchased two safes and the other one functions like it should.

Out of the box, the keypad and fingerprint did not work. They do not have a customer service or tech number. You have to email. Their answer was try YouTube. Do not buy. Check deer.com and you will see. Only correspondence through email, and it takes a week for a response. I am going to return mine.
